A387 Grade 11 is a chrome moly steel according to the ASTM/ASME A387 standard and is designed for use in welded boilers and pressure vessels used a elevated temperatures.A387 Gr 11 contains Chromium and Molybdenum as alloying elements to provide the heat and corrosion resistance than enables it to be used at high temperatures.

ASTM A387 Gr 11 CL 2 is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel plate intended primarily for welded boiler and pressure vessels designed of elevated temperature service. The Cr content 1.25% and the Mo content 0.5%.Each grade except grade 21L, Grade 22L, Grade 91 and Grade 911 is available in two classes of tensile strength levels.
